Description

Summary:
Under the direction of the Band Manager, the Health Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Saulteaux First Nation Health Centre and the delivery of all community based health services and programs for the community of Saulteaux.

Job Duties:
-    Provide leadership and direction to all health programs and services, including planning, implementation and evaluation
-    General supervision of all health staff as per the organizational structure
-    Accountable for financial management of the health programs, including budget development, approving purchase orders, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting or as required
-    Coordinate development of annual Community health Services work plans and responsible for the completion annual reports
-    Work collaboratively with the Band Manager, Health Committee, Chief and Council, Health Canada, as well as Health Canada and contracted health service providers
-    Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
-    Degree in the field of Health Administration/Human Services/Business Administration or equivalent work experience with 3 years management experience.
-    Valid Drivers license
-    CPIC
-    Ability to speak Cree or Saulteaux an asset
