Description

Reporting to the Production Services Manager, this position is responsible for entering production and marketing data and supplying units and managers with required reports.  This position will be full time for June, July and August, the position will then move to permanent part time position.  Preference will be given to a student returning to high school or post secondary education.
Responsibilites:
Provide units with forms for data entry
Receive completed data from barns and enter in to the appropriate data base
Generate corrections, review reports to ensure accurate and reliable records
Balance pig numbers after adjustments have been made for marketing and mortality
Other assignments as required
Experience/Education:
Business Administration / Office Education Certificate or equivalent experience
Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, or equivalent) and internet
Experience or knowledge in the pig industry, animal flow or willingness to learn
Willingness and ability to visit production units as required
Self motivated, organized and detailed oriented
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to analyze and record numerical data
Timely and accurate data entry, including error correction
Advise Manager of data entry problems, delays or communication difficulties
