Description

Job Duties
-    Provides technical assistance and knowledge to plant management for continuous product and process improvements and/or revisions.
-    Prioritize, coordinate and direct projects within the Engineering Department  
-    Effectively communicate problem solutions / decisions to all employee levels and gain acceptance of solutions.
-    Provide technical oversight and coordination of project engineering work
-    Participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects.
-    Monitor and track progress against project schedules. Adjust as required.
-    Directly responsible for the development and certification of the CWT and A-Fire product lines.
-    Responsible for product line certification of to B31.3, ASME Section IV and VIII, as well as others.
-    Review inspection reports and assist in the resolution of field construction problems.
-    Monitor all engineering aspects of facility start-ups; ensure project start-up plans and required documentation are completed and coordinated with operations and maintenance department personnel.
-    Co-ordinate and review the technical work of the department as required/requested.
-    Ensure compliance with local, national and international standards and legislation
-    Assist in the professional development of junior engineers within the department

Requirements
-    Mechanical Engineering degree
-    Registered with APES (will become the responsible member for Grit Industries Inc.)
-    10+ years of Engineering experience
-    5+ years experience in an Engineering Department with direct responsibility  for the design and/or construction portion of pressure piping, pressure vessels, boilers and structures
-    Experience in designing rotating mechanical and hydraulic equipment
-    Experience designing primary and secondary heat exchange systems for use with boilers
