The Department of Animal and Poultry Science in the College of Agriculture and Bioresources at the University of Saskatchewan invites outstanding applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position (12-month) in monogastric nutrition.
The successful candidate will have Ph.D. and excellent disciplinary knowledge of nutrition in a monogastric species (swine, poultry and/or companion animal) with experience in comparative nutrition, nutritional physiology, immunology, genetics or metabolism. The successful candidate will develop an internationally recognized extramurally-funded (including from nationally competitive Tri-Agency programs) research program focusing on investigating the nutritive, health or environmental value of feed ingredients and novel additives. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in teaching and mentorship, have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function in a team research environment. Mentorship of graduate students, nutrition instruction in undergraduate and graduate level courses, development of a commercial industry network and participation in the administrative activities are expected.
