Viterra has an opportunity for an experienced professional responsible for the management of its North American fixed assets. Based in the Regina Head Office, this role will lead the areas of maintenance, electrical, engineering, automation, procurement and corporate building services for Viterra. There is also accountability for oversight of the design, development, construction, commissioning and maintenance of North American assets, which includes direction of project timing and management, cost management, and operational design efficiencies.
The successful applicant has a proven track record when it comes to development of capital project plans and execution of large internal multifaceted construction and maintenance projects - on time and on budget. Experience in the development of annual capital and operating budgets is also essential. Strong leadership skills are critical to success in this role at Viterra. Not only does this role provide direction to project teams, it leads a geographically dispersed Corporate Services team. Value and commitment to Health and Safety is a requirement.
The ideal candidate has a combination of education, experience and leadership that has been obtained through a university degree in Engineering, a professional engineering designation along with a successful career with progressively responsible management roles in construction management and/or in facility maintenance, repair and renovation. Non-engineers with relevant experience managing large capital projects will also be considered. Experience in the North American grain industry would be a definite asset.
