Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Information Systems, responsibilities for this position include the following:
1. Act as subject matter expert and key liaison for technology initiatives that impact Retail Information Systems (RIS) processes and/or financial reporting.
2. Participate in project team meetings representing the interests and needs of RO.
3. Communicate with RO business unit leadership and team members about upcoming changes, project scope, schedule, issues, decisions, etc.
4. Ensure that RO requirements are met by system functionality.
5. Complete the project life cycle for assigned initiatives including: User needs analysis, Requirements gathering, documentation, prioritization and communication, Software fit/gap analysis and gap resolution, participate in vendor selection and due diligence process, system design, testing and implementation.
6. Lead a review of existing RO business processes and recommend those needing to be re-engineered to provide an acceptable fit with the software solution.
7. Act as change agent for assigned initiatives. Identify and communicate change impact. Work with business unit leadership and team members to assess impact and develop approach to facilitate adoption. Develop end user training and education material.
8. Provide an analysis, alternatives and recommendation for required software customization.
9. Work to develop knowledge of business analysis best practices, policies and templates.
The successful candidate will have a University degree in Business/Commerce and broad business acumen, along with 5 to 7 years of experience working with financial systems, tools and processes. Accounting designation or equivalent exposure to accounting requirements and business application functionality is required. IIBA Certification or equivalent training and experience would be an asset.
