This Person will be responsible for safe and efficient filling of railcars and ground operations. Reporting to shift lead or Site Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Inspect and prepare Rail cars for crude oil loading.
Load rail cars to specified levels, following safety procedures and preparing rail car for transport.
Report to Lead Railcar Loader on operational issues, safety concerns, ensuring efficient safe crude oil loading and car moving or switching operations.
General maintenance duties as assigned; may involve yard maintenance, snow removal, basic equipment maintenance, Basic track maintenance.
Follow HSE rules and regulations while on shift.
Consistent use of personnel protective equipment.
Report all near misses and incidents that take place on work site.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in Oilfield or Rail operations is an asset.
Related training to position is considered an asset.
Minimum Grade 12, Post-secondary education an asset.
Must have or be able to obtain all required safety tickets, H2S, DG, WHMIS, Rail Training.
Proactive and self-motivated. Team-centered mindset.
Is willing to work in all weather conditions year round, extreme heat and cold winter weather.
Holds Safety practices in High regard, able to perform physical aspects of job, stairs, lifting.
An ability to respond to directions from Lead Railcar Loader or Site supervisor.
Excellent Communication abilities, collaboration and leadership skills
Calm and articulate under pressure situations, interpersonal skills.
