Position Overview
Reporting to the Managing director, the Outreach Worker is responsible for assisting Kates Place tenants and clients in the community with planning and implementing individualized programming regarding their psychosocial rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be expected to keep a detailed record of all clientele in the Outreach program in order to track and present statistical information.
Requirements
Successful candidates will have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Human Justice, or other human services, with at least 2 years experience in a setting with adults who experience drug addiction a combination of education and experience will be considered..
Ability to work independently
Extensive knowledge of programs, services and agencies that serve the population we serve.
A demonstrated understanding of the complex issues related to addiction, including homelessness and mental illness,
Effective communication skills, problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and ability to respond to incidents and needs as they arise.
Successful applicants must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check/vulnerable sector check, have a valid driver's license and provide a current CPR/First Aid certification.
