Description

The City of Humboldt invites applications for the position of Executive Coordinator. Under the direction of the City Manager, the Executive Coordinator shall provide support to the City Manager and the City Clerk/ Director of Corporate Services. This is a highly sensitive position dealing with issues across the broad spectrum of policy, legal and administrative functions. This is a challenging position for an individual interested in furthering their career towards a senior executive position within a growing City. The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of duties as required by daily operations in the City Manager/City Clerk's office, serve as Recording Secretary for Council meetings, preparing agendas and, minutes and act as Deputy City Clerk. Specialized skill development in municipal property taxation will be supported as the Coordinator will learn to assist the City Assessor in the performance or his/her duties.

The City invites individuals who: - Possess attention to detail; Excel at relationship building and communication; Understand the role a coordinator plays in supporting the executive function of the City, using tact and ensuring confidentiality in all aspects of the City's business; Can organize, analyze and make recommendations using their knowledge of municipal operations and finance; Have confidence and can work independently in a continually changing and time sensitive work environment; Graduated with a diploma in Public Administration or Business Administration from a University, College or provincial municipal administration program.
