This position is responsible for a variety of administrative support duties associated with the day-to-day operations of the assigned department. This involves:
Data-entry and retrieval activities, maintaining/updating designated files and record systems, typically using moderately complex computerized systems;
Completing basic calculations and/or analysis requiring some judgment for management review and approval;
Act as a resource person with interior and exterior contacts
Receive and resolve various catalogue agent queries, re: catalogue distribution
General office duties will include answering telephones, responding to a variety of inquiries, operating various office equipment, coordinating/processing mass mail outs, faxing documents, monitoring unit budget and maintaining inventory of supplies, etc.
Success in this role calls for good verbal and written communication skills and a specialized knowledge of file management and data entry/retrieval systems and related computer skills. The ideal job candidate will have completed a one-year Apprenticeship program in the area field of Computer systems and have some experience as an Administrative Office Assistant 1. Other qualifications include:
