Editorial publishing company seeks a full-time/part time Layout Artist to work on its printed publications. This position is responsible for maintaining the visual integrity of our individual publications and the clients with whom we work. The Layout Artist will work closely with the Editor and Graphic Artists to produce layouts for our publications and the Sales and Marketing team to coordinate advertising placement. The Artist will also contribute his/her creative vision to our current and future publications. This fast-paced position is the opportunity to join a well-known company that is growing constantly. The applicant for this position must be able to produce pages and layouts swiftly and accurately to meet our deadlines. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
Designing for print publications, and production assistance
Maintaining library of materials, including layouts and artwork
Ensuring high-standard for graphics quality in all media
Qualifications:
Highly skilled in graphic design principles of layout and typography
Experience in fine arts, graphic design, communication, or closely related field
3-5 years of experience preferred. Experience in printed publications is a plus.
High level skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Mac) InDesign and Photoshop are a must, Illustrator skills is a plus.
