The company has a career opportunity for qualified applicants at PotashCorp Allan, located 55km southeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
As part of the Mine Engineering Group, the Mechanical Engineer will be involved in all aspects of the engineering department including equipment selection, mechanical design, capital budgeting, project management, and contractor management. In addition, this position will supply technical assistance to underground maintenance supervision to identify and resolve problems in areas affecting costs, continuity of operations and safety. This position will also include directing and mentoring of other technical staff.
This position requires a university degree in Mechanical Engineering. The position is targeted at someone with four or more years of experience with their professional designation, however all applications will be accepted. The candidate must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan or as an Engineer in Training. The successful candidate must also possess strong interpersonal, administrative, communication, planning and computer skills.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
