Description

Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Energy Division has an immediate opening for a Senior Research Engineer in SRCs state-of-the-art laboratories located in Regina. As a key member of the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) technologies team, you will develop, adapt and transfer EOR technologies to the petroleum industry.

Accountabilities
-Conduct leading-edge research and develop processes, including gas and chemical injection or thermal recovery methods
-Conduct laboratory coreflood, scaled physical models, PVT experiments and numerical simulations to prepare for scale-up and field applications
-Analyze and interpret research results, apply existing models or generate new models and report results to clients
-Consult and collaborate with clients and colleagues on projects and requirements
-Work closely with and mentor junior research engineers and technologists to safely deliver Smart Science Solutions to our clients
-Participate in business development as required, for business retention and growth in existing and new service areas
-Assume management responsibilities in the future

Qualifications
-Master of Science in petroleum or related engineering, or 8-12 years of reservoir engineering experience
-Field experience, especially in production operations, is an asset
-Experience in a management role, managing multiple projects with direct or indirect reports is an asset
