AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking an Assistant Manager to join one of its flagship facilities located in Wilkie, SK.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, confident individual with a deep knowledge of the Ag industry in Western Canada.

This person will assist the General Manager in the day-to-day, weekly, monthly planning and operation of a large, modern special crops cleaning facility, one of the largest of its kind in Western Canada.

Depending on qualifications and experience the following items may be the Assistant Managers key or shared areas of focus:

    Managing and supervising plant staff, dealing with day-to-day management issues as required
    Coordinate and ensure all product leaves the plant in a quality form
    Ensure accuracy in bag weights, counts and condition
    Act as the designated trainer for staff in the basic instruction and implementation of good manufacturing practices and safe shipping procedures
    Manage all warehouse operations as it relates to the Food Safety Program, including housekeeping, preventative maintenance, re-work, and monitoring all checkpoints where quality can be compromised
    Ensure the staff understand, and comply with, their responsibilities under the company Health & Safety policy
    Ensure that management controls exist and are adhered to in order to implement the companys strategy
    Chair regular meetings with shift supervisors
    Organize, monitor and maintain logistics of incoming and outgoing product
    Monitor inventory levels on a monthly basis
