Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is accountable for providing clinical education, participation in policy development and consultation at site-specific and regional levels in Prairie North Health Region. The CNE will collaborate with Directors, Managers, Point-of-Care staff and other CNE's in the assessment of staff learning needs, delivery of a regional nursing orientation and provision of specific education/in-services.
Qualifications:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)-Level C Health Care Provider (HCP)-Heart & Stroke
Current CPR Certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Basic computer skills
Communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Leadership skills
Other Information:
Three (3) years recent clinical experience in acute clinical or patient/family service area.
In an effort to recruit and retain health employees, Prairie North Health Region is offering a package to individuals who have completed training. The package includes $2,500 recruitment bonus with a one year (1,950 hours) return for service commitment; and up to $2,500 for relocation with receipts for an additional one year (1,950 hours) return for service commitment.
