Schulte Ind. Ltd. is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. Schulte is worldclass manufacturer of agricultural and industrial machinery.
The successful candidate will participate in the design and development of new cost effective products. They will be responsible for:
- Develop concept designs, prioritize projects and plan development cycle/design schedules
- Design products projects using SolidWorks
- Research/Specify required material for product production
- Perform value-added engineering enhancing products while maintaining cost effectiveness
- Oversee technicians in the manufacturing of prototypes and work closely with Tooling
- Provide all pertinent information and data to Technical Publications and may assist in the creation of parts/operators manuals
- Assist in field testing new products and evaluate performance
- Provide customer service and respond to questions from marketing groups and act as a resource for Technical Services Department
- Support marketing efforts by attending sales shows, operate and demonstrate products
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- A degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering with eligibility for membership in APEGS.
- A minimum of 8 years experience in mechanical design
- The ability to work as a team member or leader
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with SolidWorks and familiarity with the operation of agricultural equipment will be considered an asset.

Our engineering office is located at Innovation Place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The manufacturing plant is located in Englefeld, Saskatchewan. Frequent travel to the Englefeld location will be required.
