Description

The YWCA Regina exists to support and empower women, children and youth in addressing their diverse needs in the realization of their full potential which benefits all.

Under the supervision of the CEO and as a member of the Senior Director team, the Senior Director of Operations' primary responsibility will be to advance the strategic direction of the YWCA Regina through giving leadership to its general operations. The Senior Director of Operations will build organizational capacity through new initiatives and by maintaining departmental functions and efficiencies. The Senior Director of Operations will contribute to a healthy team culture amongst management staff that enhances collaboration, with a respectful approach to challenging association issues.
Responsibilities include:
Human Resources: Responsibility for human resource policy development and procedures, acting as a resource in staffing structures, hiring and disciplinary processes and be key in development of training, staff retention and engagement;
Operations: Responsible for structural operations of all YWCA Regina programs and facilities which includes purchasing, operation efficiencies, IT and general operations staffing;
Development: Responsible for developing new initiatives and partnerships including yearly business plans and budgets to meet strategic goals, advocating for government and community support & developing partnerships with other community organizations, businesses and community members.
Qualifications
-Degree in Social Sciences, Human Services and/or business OR the equivalent combination of education and experience;
-Proven leader in the human services field, that includes direct service delivery and functional leadership experiences;
-Experience building effective relationships with diverse groups;
-Understanding of community based organization and business functions;
-Cultural awareness and respect for women of various backgrounds.
