Description

We are looking for a dedicated, detail oriented, controller to proactively lead the finance function.  Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will focus on the day to day financial, treasury and accounting functions, including cash flow, detailed analytics, variance analysis, and internal controls.  The Controller is also expected to provide thought leadership and input into the improvement of the operational processes and controls within the School Division.  
    Full cycle accounting functions
    Financial statements
    Budgeting
    Financial Information
    Operational improvement
    Controls  ensure the financial control environment is maintained by assessing and developing adequate internal controls.

The successful candidate must qualify for membership in the Saskatchewan Association of School Business Officials (SASBO).  Further information can be accessed on SASBOs website at: http://www.sasbo.com/.

Required Qualifications:
    Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA)
    +5 years experience as a Controller or within a financial leadership role
    Working knowledge of PSAB and GAAP
    Self-starter
    Willingness to be hands on and help out to get the job done    
    Professional, trustworthy and operate with a high degree of integrity
    Payroll experience would be considered an asset
    Proven leadership
