Early Learning Interventionist
Temporary Part-time (50%)

Current Location:        Holy Family School Division  Office at St. Marys School
Start Date:            August 27, 2015  June 30, 2016
Hours:    Equivalent to 98.5 days during the school year.  The specific hours of work are to be determined and will include the school day and some evenings as required allowing for time to work with families.
Required Skills/Training:
    A degree in Social Work, Counseling or equivalent.
    Two or more years training and experience in an early education environment would be an asset.
    The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, organized and a motivated team player possessing a strong knowledge of current early learning educational trends.
    Possess a valid Class 5 drivers license and be willing to travel.
    Ability to work with families (and other professionals, where appropriate) to develop a written Family Service Plan that reflects the familys needs and the goals that have been established for the child.
    Ability to schedule and attend regular visits with the family to assist in planning and implementing activities in order to meet the goals.
    Ability to model learning activities for family members, reinforce positive interaction with the child, and provide information about various aspects of child rearing and/or family dynamics.
    Ability to prepare and distribute regular written progress reports, as required.
    Ability to assist in transition to the PreK  12 system or other community program.
Requirements:    
    Current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks upon hiring.
    Familiarity and understanding of the practices of the Roman Catholic Faith.

Rate of Pay:        Commensurate with training and experience.
