JOB SUMMARY
The Service Technician / Foreman will establish the daily service operations for Ag equipment dealership Service Department by communicating with customers via phone and in person regarding maintenance and repairs. The Service Technician / Foreman will direct and lead a team of technicians to ensure quality of work and repairs to customer equipment while utilizing the highest level of customer service. He will also be responsible to repair machines to the customers satisfaction in the shop.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    Schedules jobs for shop and field technicians
    Quotes repairs for internal machines and for customer units
    Prepare service reports for warranty submissions
    Open and Close work orders
    Ensure a high level of customer service performance by all employees
    Troubleshoot and repair customer machines
    Troubleshoot machine systems and research problems
    Machinery Inspection
    Machinery Set-Up and Adjustment
    Use laptop to enter labor, fill out service reports and complete warranty reports

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
    Journeyman Diploma preferred
    5+ years experience in a field service technician role
    Prior experience in troubleshooting a plus
    Strong attention to detail
    Exceptional written and oral communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and tact. Proven follow-through skills a plus
    Ability to multi-task and follow through with defined tasks
    Excellent customer service skills
    Farm background desirable
    Ability to safely operate large machinery
    Valid drivers license with a verifiable safe driving history / ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
    Computer literate
    Ability to project positive self and company image
    Ability to patiently handle multiple tasks at one time and to meet deadlines
    Ability to handle stressful situations professionally; the ability to exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and maintaining constructive working relationships
