The position is responsible for maintaining the branch office in areas such as accounting, customer service, and record keeping in a 3rd party logistics office. Yearly salary is dependent on experience but is expected to be in the $35,000-$40,000 range.
- Obtain established customer orders through telemarketing, faxes, customer call-ins, or sales force
- Maintain and update customer information for branch delivery routing
- Responsible for accurately completing customer orders and returns daily
- Audit reports must be completed daily for previous days deliveries
- Ensure that all AP documents are audited, coded, scanned into systems and forwarded to the Corp Office for payment.
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable collection for all branch-billed customer accounts, resolving customer billing issues, and tracking payment plan if established.
- Reconcile Petty Cash Box and prepare for reimbursement, reconcile Cash Sales Box and obtain money orders for all cash sales, fax Credit Card reconciliation form daily into corporate, and mail all customer checks received into the Exide lockbox daily.
- Remain in frequent contact with all local, regional and national departments
- Answer phones, handle mail and other general office duties as assigned.
- make basic but accurate calculations in regards to sales figures, sales tax, interest, discounts, etc.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION:
- Post-Secondary education in Accounting is preferred
- A minimum of two years of experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards and previous experience working in a customer support role is an asset
