The Information Services Manger Role:
-Responsible for the strategic leadership and overall management of eHealths information services and analytics program in support of improved patient outcomes and health system management.
-This position requires interdepartmental collaboration as well as consultation and collaboration with eHealths external stakeholders to meet health system data and analytics needs. Additionally, the manager will serve as an active participant and/or lead Provincial Health System initiatives that involve data and analytics.
-Responsible for the overall management of the business unit, including capacity planning and resourcing; developing and managing the budget for the area; recruitment; establishing priorities; assessing performance; coaching and developing employees.
What we are looking for:
-You have a comprehensive knowledge of data analytics concepts, Business Intelligence tools, and industry best-practices. In addition youve also had experience with different computer programming languages (i.e. SAS, SQL Server, Oracle), database systems design and methodology, data warehousing, relational databases, analysis and modeling, specialized querying tools/languages (i.e. MircroStrategy, Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services).
-A general knowledge of privacy and protection of personal health information is of benefit.
-Experience with or knowledge of Lean methodologies is an asset.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a baccalaureate degree or a diploma/certificate in Computer Science from a recognized training institution with an equivalent combination of formal training and experience. The ideal candidate will have experience leading dynamic teams and/or projects.
