Description

Provide a wide range of mental health services to a broad population of clients.  Be able to work with children, youth, adults and their families with the goal of restoring mental health and/or supporting clients to learn skills to manage their illness.  Liaise with and provide mental health services in collaboration with other members of the health services team and external agencies that serve children, youth, adults and their families.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Social Work or Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Masters Degree in Psychology.  Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan or the Saskatchewan College of Psychology.
Experience:
One year's experience in a mental health setting working with adults and families presenting with acute mental health problems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in and knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques appropriate for specific populations, based on best practice literature.  Knowledge of children, youth and adult psychopathology.  Developing skill in developing appropriate case plans and intervention strategies for clients.  Development knowledge and skill in intervention methodologies including:  family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, group work and case management.  Developing ability to engage in community program consultation and resource development.  Developing ability to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary mental health and community health team.  Developing ability to meet the demands of a busy high pressure clinical caseload and workload.  Strong oral and written communication skills, professional maturity and leadership abilities.  Computer literacy.
Additional Information:
Ability to travel.  Ability to work some weekends and evenings.  Position's home facility is Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan.
