Provide mental health services to adults and their families with the goal of restoring mental health and/or preventing serious mental disorders. Liaise with and provide mental health services in collaboration with other members of the Community Health Services team and external agencies that serve adults and their families.
Education:
Bachelor of Social Work or Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan. Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a mental health setting working with adults and families presenting with acute mental health problems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Significant experience in and knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques appropriate for this population, based on best practice literature. Knowledge of adult psychopathology. Demonstrated skill in developing appropriate case plans and intervention strategies for clients. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in intervention methodologies including: family systems, therapy, group work and case management. Experience in designing and providing in service training to other professionals and providing public education regarding adult mental health concerns. Skills in program planning, consultation and evaluation. Demonstrated leadership skills, workload management and administration skills. Demonstrated ability to meet the demands of a busy high pressure clinical caseload and workload. Strong oral and written communication skills, professional maturity and leadership abilities. Computer literacy. Additional Information: Ability to travel. Ability to work some weekends and evenings. Positions home facility is Fort QuAppelle, Saskatchewan.
