Job Summary:
In collaboration with key stakeholders this position develops and implements programs related to the employee health and wellness across SCHR. This Position works in collaboration with other members of the Employee Health & Supportive Service team, Human Resources, Unions, Supervisors, Managers, Directors, Coordinators and other agencies/individuals such as the Workers' Compensation Board of Saskatchewan,
Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations, Medical Health Officer, Infection Control and Public Health practitioners. The Employee Health Nurse, within the policies of SCHR, assists with the development and implementation of existing and new staff health and development services and resources. Primarily the function of this position is to provide employee health services to employees within SCHR through the provision or coordination of immunizations, flu vaccinations and through the collection and maintenance of up-to-date employee health histories.
Experience: Occupational Health certificate preferred or 1 year previous experience in occupational health. Understanding of the nursing process and principles of adult learning.
Hours of Work: 224.00 hours per 6 week rotation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
