IIBC is looking for a part time book keeper

IIBC is growing again and needs to have an internal book keeper to start immediately.
This position is a part time position for 3-5 days per week from 10-2 each day. More hours can be available up to 30 hours per week to make position full time for additional administrative duties. The schedule is flexible for the right person.

Wage to start is from 13 to 17 per hour depending on experience. Speaking a second language is an asset.

The ideal person will have book keeping experience as well as post-secondary education for accounting/bookkeeping. The right person will have a positive attitude and an excitement for helping people.

IIBC is willing to support the hired person to accommodate family time off and/or support for immigration applications for Permanent Residence.

Duties:
Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using Quickbooks and excel as well as sending statements to clients.  
Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
Collect and organize receipts to for record keeping as well as for accountant year end.
Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll and for utility, tax and other bills
Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents
Prepare tax returns and perform other bookkeeping services IIBC requires
Prepare other statistical, financial forecasts and accounting reports to review with management
