Description

We are currently recruiting summer students 16 years + for our Summer Day Camp Program, which operates Monday to Friday for July and August. Duties will include but are not limited to leading activities for small groups of children age 3-12.  A typical day will include leading sports, indoor & outdoor activities and adventures, craft time, plus much more.

This is a Temporary Full-Time position which will run from approximately July 1, 2015 to August 28, 2015 with the possibility of continuing at a part-time or full-time capacity at Fusion Sports & Recreation Centre.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Hold a current SFA/CPR certificate within one year or be willing to attain a SFA/CPR certification
-Have excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
-Be able to understand and follow written direction and/or direction provided verbally over the phone
-Be flexible, patient and be able to cope with unpredictable behaviors
-Be able to work alone or with little supervision
-Be self-directed with demonstrated sound judgement and the ability to independently problem solve
-Be able to have FUN
-Related education and/or experience working with children in a leadership role is a definite asset
-A valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers license and have a good driving record is an asset.
-Coaching and/or Child Care Provider certificates are a definite asset
-A clear current Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector search must be provided at time of interview
