Coach, mentor and develop junior employees
Performance management; monitor staff performance and provide feedback to applicable managers
Participate as a part of high functioning management team in all aspects of the Operation of the Resort
Coordination of any banquet and conference services to achieve aims of the department
Attend management meetings as required
Prepares catering contracts, catering and group event orders and conference resumes
Works with sales team to ensure proper co-ordination of group file execution, distribution and confirm all event
related information with clients
Establish and maintain rapport with catering and group clients, prior to, during and post conference, encouraging
repeat business
Books catering function space for clients and co-ordinates and distributes applicable function details in a timely
manner and with attention to detail
Assists in building creative menus and designs floor plans for events to ensure banquets and clients are in
agreement prior to set up
Initiate billing procedures, ensuring any deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information
and within an acceptable time frame
Conduct pre-conference meetings with clients and pertinent departments to confirm all relevant details are
communicated
Conducts daily walk through of the function areas to meet/greet clients and ensure their needs are being met
Conduct and/or attend daily meeting to review event contracts and ensure last minute changes are communicated
with appropriate departments
Generates business via direct face-to face sales calls, telephone, and written correspondence, including walk in
inquires and site inspections
Acts as liaison between client and internal hotel personnel to ensure maximum guest satisfaction
Be available as requested for special duties dictated by clients needs or those of the hotel
