Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
-Complete month end processes
-Generate financial reports and provide contract management to ensure that financial obligations are being met;
-Perform daily cash flow/liquidity analysis;
-Accounting analysis, verification and reconciliation;
-Prepare management reporting packages for submission to the Corporate Controller;
-Provide assistance in the development of budget, planning and other financial documents and reports;
-Uploading financials into the accounting system;
-Staff development, coaching and mentoring;
-Coordination of inter-company transactions;
-Development and subsequent review of accounting processes and procedures;
-Complete daily review of client and vendor billing requirements; coordinate and facilitate the process to ensure appropriate approvals and processing;
-Prepare, advise and assist with taxation procedures; and
-Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Controller.
Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting
-CPA professional designation, or working towards completion of a professional designation
-5+ years of progressive experience relating to financial reporting and project accounting
-Strong leadership abilities, business acumen and sound analytical capabilities
-Advanced knowledge of MS Office projects and -Accounting Software; experience in using SAGE -AccPac will be considered an asset.
-Working knowledge of Saskatchewan PST and Federal GST procedures
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-High level of accountability and dependability
-Accurate attention to detail and adept organizational abilities
-Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
