Facility: Langenburg Health Care Complex
Job Description: EMT-A's report to the Director of Ambulance Services and when on site in a facility, to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse.  EMT-A's provide direct pre-hospital, emergency, and patient care.  They assist in cooperation with the operations of the facilities they serve within the Sunrise Health Region.



EMT-A's working in Hospitals, Health Centers or any other Sunrise Health facility across Sunrise Health Region work in a supra-numary capacity.  They may work in many departments within these facilities.  The only restrictions that have been identified governing their participation in these departments are:

1. No duties can restrict them from responding immediately to any ambulance calls.

EMT-A's shall abide by the Sunrise Health Region and its Affiliates Mission, Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures.
-Class four driver's license.

-Current EMT-A (ICP) certificate from an approved educational institute.

-Licensure or the ability to obtain license with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.

-Basic Trauma Life Support (Advanced).

-AED Certificate.

-Physician certified competencies.

-CPR Level C.

-Ability to respond to all client's medical injuries and illnesses.

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.



This position will remain Open until Filled.
Hours of Work: 42 shifts of 7 hours in a 9 week rotation.  Days/evenings/nights/weekends/standby
