Description

Eden Care Communities is a not-for-profit housing and health care provider located in Regina, Saskatchewan. We oversee the operations of the Regina Lutheran Home, Broadway Terrace, and Milton Heights. In all, we provide housing and services to approximately 400 residents.

We are currently looking for a
The Maintenance Services Manager is responsible for providing strategic direction and management in facility maintenance operation in Broadway Terrace Inc. and Milton Heights Inc.

The incumbent ensures all facility related maintenance needs  both current and future are dealt with in a manner that is in alignment with the Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care in order to meet the diverse needs of residents, tenants, staff, volunteers, and the community, while ensuring that all decisions and actions comply with the applicable legislation and regulatory requirement.

Education and Certification
    A post-secondary degree/diploma and/or related experience in Building Systems Technician or maintenance planning
    5th class engineering (Firemens certificate)
    Journeyperson Certificate in any trade area is an asset

Experiences

    A minimum five year facility maintenance experience in housing industry.  
    A minimum two years managerial experience
Job Knowledge
    Working knowledge of the Mission, Vision and goals of the organization, and the Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care.
    Computer skills  Microsoft (word, excel, email, powerpoint)
    Organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
    Performance management and coaching skills
    Solid knowledge on industry best practices
    Knowledge of the budgeting process and the ability to analyze and interpret financial information as required.
    Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Legislature
    Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Residential Tenancies Act
