Description

Position Overview:  
The successful candidate will join SAMAs Assessment Services Division in this full-time, permanent position.  Reporting to the Regional Manager, the incumbent is a member of the Melfort Assessment Team that is responsible for collecting and verifying assessment valuation and sales data through physical inspection of property and interviews with property owners within the Melfort Region.

Responsibilities:
Apply mass appraisal principles and procedures to determine values of residential, commercial, and industrial properties
Input and process collected valuation data into the Agencys mass appraisal computer system
Research and respond to enquiries from the general public and government officials

If you have education and experience in property assessment, we'd love to hear from you.  However, if you haven't yet thought about a career in property assessment, but are interested in a new opportunity, please apply.  Minimum requirements for applicants that do not possess assessment education are either a university degree or a post-secondary diploma from a recognized institution.

All applicants considered for this position must also possess excellent public relations and communication skills, sound decision making skills, the ability to exercise good judgment, and have an intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and its' software.  A valid class five (5) driver's license is required.
