POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to be a part of a diverse procurement team responsible for supporting all of Camecos Saskatchewan operations.
In this role you will source a range of materials, equipment and services, conduct RFQ's/RFP's, and interact closely with internal and external stakeholders. In your work, you will be contributing to value creation from procurement activities, acting as a service provider to our partners in Saskatchewan operations, as well as participating in continuous improvement of processes and procedures. At a granular level, your regular work will include sourcing best overall value to meet internal customer needs, generating and expediting purchase orders in an SAP environment, developing and executing contracts, managing vendor on-time delivery and facilitating expeditious resolution of blocked invoices to ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
A bachelor degree in business, commerce, or in a related field
Five to Eight years of experience in the SCM field
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
Assets:
Previous SAP experience
A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation
