This position is primarily responsible for maximizing profitable revenue growth through customer loyalty and associate engagement, market growth and operational excellence, in accordance GFI, Vision and Values. This involves:
directing the execution of plans, providing leadership to management team reporting, including recruitment, coaching/training, performance assessment and consulting in associate development;
Providing excellence in customer service by communicating, demonstrating and ensuring implementation of corporate customer service standards;
Directing the management team in the day-to-day operations of the store, and promoting teamwork to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration;
Participating in self-development as well as the development of the management team, including skill assessment, succession planning and implementation and evaluation of development plans; and
Demonstrates visible leadership.
As Store Manager you will also direct the planning process of the store in collaboration with the District Sales Manager and appropriate Head Office teams, including profit and loss plans, etc.
Success in this role calls for excellent leadership and customer service skills. The ideal job candidate will have completed a three-year community college program (or equivalent) in Marketing or Retail Management and have experience as an Associate Store Manager.
