Description

The Sunshine Learning Center is a non-profit, government childcare facility that accommodates children ages 6 weeks-12 years. The facility is currently being expanded and will include an infant toddler center and a separate pre-k/school age center, all located in the town of Fort QuAppelle, commuting distance from Regina.

Requirements:
    ECE certificate or diploma is an asset but employer is willing to train the right individual to obtain a certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities, Skills and Abilities
    Excellent communication, negotiation, mediation and problem solving skills
    Must effectively interact and relate to children and encourage their involvement in activities.
    Ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks involved in day to day operations.
    Maintains good communication with parents on a daily basis verbally or through the use of daily sheets, notes
while maintaining confidentiality of clients.
    Willing to participate in ongoing learning during professional development opportunities.
    Observe children to detect signs of ill health or emotional disturbance, and to evaluate progress
    Provides a warm, safe, and caring environment that is kept orderly, clean, and appealing
    Plans, prepares, and implements daily activities (indoor/outdoor) as they relate to the children's development.
    Provides overall supervision of toileting and bathroom time, as well as mealtime/snack time activities and related record keeping
    Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere
    Other related duties
