Prairieland Park is seeking a full time permanent SALES COORDINATOR. The primary purpose of this position is to focus on the sales and requirements related to the Food and Beverage needs of our clients.
The primary purpose of the Sales Coordinator is to solicit new catering accounts; entertain and maintain relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals; oversee client functions to ensure customer satisfaction; managing, detailing, and executing sales contracts. Effectively communicate to all departments the information necessary to successfully execute the groups needs while maintaining client relationships.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinates and solicits event sales, and manages all event details within the assigned corporate market segments.
- Develops and implements strategic business plans, including marketing initiatives within the assigned market.
- Develops and manages individual sales targets and creates industry leading, high quality events.
- Proactively sells the facility and event bookings by responding to incoming client inquiries, as well as new clients through contacts or new leads.
- Responds to inbound inquiries.
- Issues proposals, contracts, negotiates and closes business.
- Work closely with Food & Beverage department for all events.
- Attends to required administrative duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
The successful applicant will have:
- Minimum 3 years directly related experience in hospitality sales
- Diploma/degree in hospitality, tourism or culinary arts is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the food, beverage, and event industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the corporate market within Saskatoon.
- Well developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of OH&S, Fire, and Liquor Laws and Regulations.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, EventPro, or other related food & beverage software programs.
