Description

The Manager is responsible for helping to prioritize health information standards and data quality work at eHealth, and will lead the development, implementation and evolution of the new program.  The Manager acts as the primary contact for health data quality and standards issues for provincial health system stakeholders and ensures linkages with pan-Canadian developments in these areas.  Additionally, the Manager is responsible for developing operational policies and procedures, directing data quality and standards staff, compiling monthly performance metrics for the unit; as well as recruits, orientates, and manages staff performance for the unit.

What we are looking for:
- You are data driven and passionate about the importance of quality information.
- You will have demonstrable knowledge of data quality best-practices.
- You will understand the role of technology in supporting data capture, exchange and analysis; as well as the factors influencing the direct capture of quality data by front-line and clinical staff.
- You will have knowledge of national and international information standards, as well as data coding and abstracting as it relates to health information.

Education and Training:
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a baccalaureate degree or diploma in Health Informatics, a Clinical discipline, or Scientific field; coupled with experience in utilizing information to inform strategic or clinical decisions and leadership skills.
Management or leadership experience is an asset.

CHIM or CPOHIMS-CA designation is preferred.
