Description

The Human Resources Officer is responsible for delivering operational and value-added HR services at Eden Care Communities and its subsidiaries.  This position focuses on providing central scheduling services, supporting managers in employee performance & attendance management, and facilitating employee Return to Work program.          
Working knowledge of the Mission, Vision and goals of the organization, and the Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care.
Solid working knowledge of centralized scheduling management system and procedures
Strong working knowledge of all the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements (SUN/SAHO, CUPE/SAHO and HSAS/SAHO) and contract interpretation.
Knowledge of performance management, coaching and mentoring.
Knowledge of the importance of confidentiality and privacy laws.
Ability to organize, pay attention to detail and multi task.
Ability to work with and establish good relationships with Elders, Elder families, staff and other external agencies and organizations.
Ability to deal with sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
Ability to conduct all business in a manner congruent with the Relationship Governance Model and Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care.
Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or other appropriate field.
Minimum 2 year working experience in scheduling.
Minimum 2 year working experience in Attendance and Disability management.
Prior experience in Recruitment is preferred.
Experience in a unionized workplace is a must.
CHRP designation is preferred.
The incumbent may be required to respond after-hour emergencies regarding scheduling issue
