Description

Whats The Job?
- Supporting the General Manager (GM), the next level manager, in ensuring the store is well-run, well-merchandised
and well-staffed
- Leading a team of Customer Experience Representatives (CERs) in the delivery of world-class customer service,
effective sales techniques, merchandising standards, and store policies and procedures
- Attracting, hiring, retaining and developing talented and passionate CERs
- Maintaining performance management records and ensuring fairness and consistency of approach and administration
- Sharing your passion for Indigos unique assortment of books and life-enriching products, and generating excitement
about new products, promotions and programs
- Accepting a high degree of responsibility and accountability for others as well as yourself
- Executing the stores annual business plan as delivered by the GM
- Be the champion Indigos highly acclaimed Love of Reading program
- Owning Indigos customer loyalty program and Leading Indigos Sales Generation program
- Soliciting ideas and opportunities from the customer experience team to improve sales and store operations
- HR administration  management of store Performance Appraisal schedule for all areas of the store
- Responsible for Workforce Scheduling system (aka TEAM) and overseeing scheduling requests and weekly schedule
revisions
- Communicating the flow of Home Office directives, programs and corresponding goals
- Liaison for Health & Safety and Loss Prevention programs
- Accounting & Expenses (service stock, office supplies, and cost control management)
- Launching and evaluating new programs and initiatives that impact business performance
- Connecting with communities by planning and implementing Indigo events with the highest degree of professionalism
