ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CARE (ADOC)
    EXTENDICARE PARKSIDE

Candidates are invited to apply to the permanent, full time of ASSISTANT DIRECTOR of CARE for Extendicare Parkside located in Regina, Sask. This facility is home to 228 continuing care residents.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the ADOC assists in the management of all aspects of the Nursing Service and ensures the effective and efficient delivery of care as per the Long Term Care Standards of Extendicare and Saskatchewan Health.

QUALIFICATIONS

    Membership or eligible for membership with Sask Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)  or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Sask (RPNAS)
    Bachelor of Science in Nursing and /or speciality in Gerontology preferred
    Previous managerial experience in long-term care as well as knowledge of applicable legislation, unionized settings and labour contracts; comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices
    Effective human resource, communication, relationship building, time management and planning skills        are required
