Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the CPIC Supervisor, processes a variety of traffic documents.
(1) Corrects and enters Summary Offence Tickets, ensuring accuracy requirements and court deadlines are met.
(2) Corrects, processes and enters general motor vehicle accident reports.
(3) Coordinates and processes Drivers License suspensions and Inspection Tickets in accordance with established procedures.
(4) Corrects and enters fatal or serious injury Motor Vehicle Accident reports on the IEIS.(5) Answers inquiries for information by telephone from uniform members, SGI, etc.
Competencies:
(1) Knowledge of Highway Traffic Act, Municipal Traffic Bylaws, Liquor Act and Criminal Code Sections relating to traffic violations are an asset.
(2) Ability to learn the IEIS system to the extent to search, enter, link and task on the system.
(3) Minimum typing speed 50 wpm with good working knowledge of Word.
(4) Reception: The ability to deal with incoming calls and persons in a friendly, efficient and professional manner.
(5) Filing: The ability to retain and retrieve documents in an easy, efficient manner.
(6) Organization: The ability to coordinate work schedules and time for maximum efficiency and productivity.
(7) Minimum of Grade 12 or Grade 12 equivalent.
