Pasqua First Nation are seeking an individual for the Stay in School Coordinator Position to counsel children/youth in all areas of Secondary Education, to assist in keeping students in school to graduation and to assist students in planning their future work or education goals.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate ad supervise career exploration activities for students.
- Coordinate and work as a team member with CPEC and the Post Secondary coordinator in programming.
- Oversee students monthly attendance and monitor report cards of students progress
- Meet quarterly with parent/guardians on any concerns.
- Coordinate bussing contracts on a yearly basis
- Coordinate and distribute student supplies for students
- Distribute monthly school allowance for Grade 7 to 12
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Good knowledge of career pathing
- Display excellent leadership skills for youth
- Must display role model skills - be living a drug and alcohol lifestyle for a minimum of 2 years.
- Must submit drug test prior to starting employment.
- Excellent time management skills

- Demonstrate reliability and integrity displayed on a daily basis
- Problem solving skills and creative thinking
- Personal development and continual thinking
- Confidentiality a must.
Transportation/Travel Information
- Valid driver's licence

- Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma
