Description

This position is responsible for grading of variety of grain types including wheat. Provide technical guidance and training inspector Level 1, 2 and Grader Level 2. Conduct laboratory analysis, grading, and review of data.

Responsibilities
     * Log-in, organizing, storing, distribution, and disposing of incoming samples and after final inspections
     * Clean grain samples using dockage tester and prepare for grading
     * Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
     * Perform analyses such as moisture, protein, dockage, test weight, mycotoxins, germination tests, etc.
     * Inspect / grade all types of grain other than wheat (i.e. pulses, corn, malt barley, etc.) arriving at the laboratory or during onsite inspections.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
     * A minimum of a High School diploma
     * Previous experience in performing preliminary grain inspections and grain grading would be an asset.
     * Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook).
     * Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
     * Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
     * Travel to other SGS locations or client location may be required from time to time.
     * Possess and maintains a valid drivers license.
     * Ensures full compliance with the companys Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
