We are looking for a new member of our Employment Services team with a can-do attitude who will find and develop paid jobs for people with varying abilities.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Meet with referred clients and their support system members to identify needs and strengths in order to develop and update their Enhanced Employment Plan (EEP).
- Assist clients in the development of a resume, cover letter and interview skills.
- Develop authentic paid employment positions (minimum wage or better)
- Develop employment partners open to job customization
- Provide on-site job coaching in the early stages of employment and fade out over time
- Provide on-and-off-site ongoing check-ins to maintain employment
- Provide support to employers to maintain a successful employment relationship
- Administer various testing materials to clients to determine level of skills and abilities for vocational planning
- Prepare and write comprehensive reports including formal testing results and recommendation
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in the human service field or equivalent professional designation obtained through a 2 year post secondary rehabilitation curriculum and two years experience in the rehabilitation field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Experience:
- Desirable to have knowledge of/and ability to work with individuals with multiple barriers to employment
