Vale Industries Ltd.is looking for a Shop Foreman to manage  our Production Line Shop. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Foreman Job Description
Highly efficient, smooth running, high quality production shop requires a supervisor to organize daily and weekly projects for production.
Successful candidates must possess the following attributes:
-    Possess strong leadership, teaching/coaching skills, and supervisory skills.
-    Ability to give clear direction to Team Leaders to carry out daily tasks.
-    Ability to develop/maintain strong Team Leaders in a production/quality driven environment.
-    Maintain high quality standards for all products.
-    Excellent organizational skills - make daily/weekly plans ahead of time, keep track of WOs/flow of production
-    Knowledge of computers and computerized software  POs/WOs
-    Skilled knowledge of all equipment in shop Paint pumps, saws, drills, lathe, etc

Duties to include:
-    Daily Balancing of Labor Time
-    Check that daily equipment inspections are completed (Forklift/Cranes)
-    Assign tasks daily to Team Leads
-    Update White Boards with important personnel/safety information
-    Order Gas and Wire, etc (help set up/manage warehouse)
-    Ensure all employees have access to and wear PPEs
-    Ensure all employees have proper training to complete assigned tasks
-    Ensure Quality Standards
-    Supervise Team Leaders in teaching, guiding employees to become more efficient, better quality workers
-    Attend production meetings and other management meetings
-    Learn and use of Global Shop Software

Other duties would include assisting in the development and maintaining of the following programs:
-    Safety Program
-    Preventative Shop Maintenance Program
-    Proper Work Procedures and Training for all Stations
-    Quality Program
