Description

The individual in this position is responsible for prevention, treatment, evaluation, rehabilitation, and recording of athletic injuries, coordinating care of athletes with other allied health professionals, and communicating with coaches, parents and athletes.  Ensure welfare and health of all students of Notre Dame in any activity.  The staff member in this position directly Reports to the Nurse Manager in Health Care.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide emergency care and first aid to all illnesses and injuries.
2. Ensure rehabilitation is provided for injured students who need it.
3. General operation of Training Room under guidance of health care manager.
4. Laundering and inventory of jerseys (injuries/treatments take precedence).
5. Minor sports equipment repairs (injuries/treatments take precedence).
6. Ability to sharpen skates an asset (injuries/treatments take precedence).
7. Knowledge of taping techniques and the ability to tape for support or prevention.
8. Training Room supply inventory and replacement.
