Engineer, System Integrity - SaskEnergy
Location: Regina or Saskatoon, SK


The Gradworks Intern Development Program is designed to provide recent post-secondary graduates with challenging and career-focused positions within our network of Saskatchewan employers. To be eligible for a Gradworks internship you must be a recent college, technical institute or university graduate, have little or no relevant work experience in your field of study and be eligible to work in Canada.

Internship Description:

This position will provide engineering services for the development and implementation of corporate system integrity programs, providing for the protection of public and employee safety and continued reliable and environmentally responsible operation of corporate assets. This includes engineering activities and technical support related to applied research and project management, ensuring sound application of engineering practices, industry practices and technological advancements and identification and recommendation of cost effective business solutions to support departmental and corporate objectives.

Responsibilities:
Assist in development, implementation and monitoring of annual Corporate leak management programs, working with Operational staff and leak survey contractors.
Assist in development of asset replacement strategies for aging infrastructure, including development of annual replacement plans/programs based on risk evaluations.  
Assist in the Distribution System failure incident statistical analysis and benchmarking process to identify trends with regards to threat types, magnitude of consequences and incident frequency.


Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in one of the following Engineering disciplines: Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, Instrumentation, Metallurgical, Mechanical, Petroleum, Process, Materials.
