Description

This is a permanent full time position with the Saskatoon Branch of the Western Development Museum.  Under the general direction of the Museum Manager, the Food Services Manager will be responsible for general operation of the Boomtown Cafe and other food services aspects of the Saskatoon Branch.   The Food Services Manager ensures the development and maintenance of a high public profile and a positive image for the Western Development Museum in the community. All functions are carried out under the direction of the Branch Manager and in such a manner as to achieve maximum efficiency and patron satisfaction within the museum context.

Duties:
-Monitor service level of the Boomtown Cafe and all other food services aspects
-Assist with the hiring, training coordination and plan staff schedules
-Handle incoming sales/catering calls
-Account receivables/payables
-Food/liquor inventory control/housekeeping
-Cost analysis of food/liquor sales
-Development of menu concepts and theme development
-Work closely with local tourism authority to promote awareness of the WDM.
-Supervise administrative duties in the sales office.
-Work with contact consultant(s) for larger functions
-Other duties may be assigned
