Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior Vehicle Platform Engineer to join our clients industry leading team. Located in the north end of Saskatoon, SK, our client is an industry leader in specialty vehicle manufacturing.  Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Sr. Vehicle Platform Engineer is responsible for leading a team of Mechanical Engineering Designers and supporting the product design process.  This position has a key role in supporting our clients company and is accountable for delivering an exceptional level of satisfaction to customers, while ensuring manufacturability and profitability.  The successful incumbent will work closely sales and management to identify model upgrades, features, options and new concepts; evaluating each one for manufacturability, cost and regulatory compliance.  This position also works closely with Sales, Engineering and Operations to enhance vehicle design process, and fulfills project management responsibilities and key vehicle design projects.

Responsibilities:
- Vehicle design process (Mechanical)
- Research and development and Sales Support
- Continuous Improvement
- Project Management
- Team Supervision
- Other tasks and duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University
- 8-10 years experience in complex mechanical design
- P. Eng Designation (or eligibility to register with the APEGS)
- Automotive and/or specialty design vehicles design experience would be considered an asset
- Industrial design experience would be considered an asset
- Exposure to the concepts of design for manufacturing, design for assembly, and design for maintenance would be an asset

Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Autodesk Inventor, other 3D CAD, or other AutoCAD software
- Knowledge of stress/strain analysis, heat transfer and cost/benefit analysis
- Knowledge of SAP Business 1 an asset
- Electrical design experience an asset
