Facility: STURDY STONE CENTRE/SASKATOON CORRECTIONAL CENTER
Job Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, under the general direction of the Out-of-Scope Manager of Addiction Services and in consultation with designated CPSP staff this Position will provide In-Facility Addictions programming.  The programming will be consistent with accepted program models, evidenced-based practices, and the Sask. Model for Recovery Services.  The primary goal will be to utilize Addictions expertise to provide program direction for Correctional facility substance abuse education, treatment, and referral services.  Partnership between Correctional and Addiction services will provide linkages and strengthen the development and provision of addictions programming for inmates.
Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 drivers license
Degree in Addictions Counseling or Human Service
Experience
A minimum of five years of supervised addictions experience; experience working within a correctional environment would be an asset.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Thorough knowledge of substance abuse and addictions, cause and effects, evidence based models of treatment intervention and their application to diverse populations
Completing selected substance abuse assessment with offenders
Providing the counseling component for offenders on methadone treatment
Facilitating, cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing based educational substance abuse programming on units
Development of reintegration planning around addictions for offenders
